1980 – 1990’s
Many companies introduced written standard procedures and work instructions to comply with ISO 9000. In addition, a document control system was also introduced to ensure the latest version of the document was always in use.
In early 2000 a new style of standard procedure was introduced incorporating pictures and symbols to assist the user in determining what was critical to the procedure and for example what were any hazards associated with the action
Now we are able to offer a standard procedure in a video format so that the operator can see and hear how the procedure should be followed. It increases the operators understanding as additional information on why each step is critical and can provide helpful advice on how to do the job as well as possible.
This will increase the opportunity for the operator to get it right every time.
